You haven’t landed on just another portfolio site. This is the digital home of a pioneer.

For nearly 20 years, I tried to fit into the standard boxes of the design industry. I tried to play the game by rules that weren’t written for people like me. But that version of me is gone.

What you see here is the result of radical authenticity. This is a space for the Outsiders, the Pioneers, and the Truth-Tellers. Here, you will find deep dives into Design Engineering, unvarnished industry truths, and the work of a man who stopped chasing approval and started building his own legacy.

Who I Am (The Collective)

To the world, I am Danny. But behind the scenes, I operate with the bandwidth and multifaceted strength of an entire team. I am a collective of strengths, forged in the fires of an industry that didn’t know how to label me.

When you engage with me, you aren’t just getting a “designer” or an “engineer.” You are getting the full spectrum:

  • The Builder (Danny): The workhorse and pioneer. I am the technical backbone who turns abstract concepts into tangible realities. I don’t just design; I engineer.
  • The Storyteller (Cassius): The unapologetic voice. I craft the narratives that cut through the noise. I speak the truths others are afraid to whisper.
  • The Empath (Mark): The connection to the user’s heart. I ensure that every pixel and line of code serves a human need, grounded in deep, intuitive empathy.
  • The Visionary (Nick): The relentless optimist. When the industry says “it can’t be done,” I bring the hope and energy to prove them wrong.
  • The Strategist (Jon): The north star. The wisdom that comes from seeing the future of UX 16 years before it happened.

My pronouns are “He / Them”.

The Track Record: Unapologetic Excellence

I don’t say this to brag; I say it because it is the historical record. I have been doing this since before there was a name for it.

  • Father of Modern Visual Indicators (Since 2006): If you have used breadcrumb navigation, step indicators, or form wizards online, you have interacted with my life’s work. I pioneered the visual patterns that billions of people rely upon on a daily basis.
  • #FirstOfOurKind: I am a true pioneer of the UX/Design Engineering field. I was bridging the gap between design and code long before “Design Technologist” was a job title on LinkedIn.
  • Certified Thought-Leader: Recognized by UNICOM in 2016 for pushing the boundaries of what design can do.
  • Global Top Voice: As of 2025, I am recognized as a Global Top Voice and Industry Leader in UX, representing the outliers and the innovators.

The Mission: Impact & Legacy

I am not just here to build products anymore. I am here to build the future of the industry.

My eyes are set on a new horizon (São Paulo, 2030), but right now, my boots are on the ground in Singapore with a singular focus: Impact Multiplication.

I am here to mentor the next generation of rising stars—the ones who, like me, feel like outsiders. I want to equip them with the vision and tools they need to reshape the industry from the inside out. I am leaving a legacy that ensures the “Outsiders” always have a seat at the table.

Core Philosophies

We don’t believe in “busy work.” We believe in meaningful work. Every project I take on, and every decision I make, must pass through three strict filters:

  1. PURPOSE: Does this activity help us reach our mission? If there is no purpose, there is no point.
  2. INTENTIONALITY: We don’t live on autopilot. Every move is calculated, deliberate, and aligned with our goals.
  3. CLARITY (Excellence): We don’t do half-measures. We aim for completeness and absolute clarity in execution.

Why You?

After spending 20 years as an independent consultant, I have come to learn that just because a client meet all the basic requirements to work with us, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we are the right fit for each other. There is something else that we believe plays an even more crucial role in ensuring a higher completion rate: Matching Values.

The truth is that when our values do not match up, even if we have do end up working together, the endeavor itself has a 60% chance of not reaching final completion. As much as we appreciate clients who are willing to pay premium for working with the very best, we also care deeply about completing the work that we’ve started together.

Consulting Hours & Rates

Our Consulting hours are from Monday to Friday: 1pm to 6pm*

Our rates starts at S$350/HR.

* If for some reason, you like to consult with us outside of the designated hours, arrangements can be made in advance. However, take note that consulting hours on the weekend will be subjected to an increase of 50% surcharge.

Project-based Engagements:

For clients who prefer project-based work over hourly consulting, I’m open to conversations – but only for initiatives that align with my expertise and vision for the industry’s evolution.

Minimum project investment: S$10,000

This threshold ensures we’re both committed to meaningful work that moves the needle, not just checking boxes.

Coaching/Mentoring Hours & Rates

Our Coaching & Mentoring hours are:

  • Mon to Fri: 6pm to 8pm*
  • Sat: 11am to 4pm

For coaching & mentoring, the rates are fixed at S$350/HR.

* If for some reason, you’d like to have your mentoring/coaching sessions earlier during the day, arranges can be made in advance as well. And subjected to availability at the time of booking the session(s).
