Sometimes, All We Can Do is Our Best. #shorts

This is just one of those days where I much rather not go into detail about what I’ve been doing. All I want to say that I’ve been doing everything that I can, to move things along. Right now, at this very stage of my life, I’m facing both something positive & challenging all at the same time. So it’s not exactly the right kind of celebratory mood if you know what I mean. I am on one hand feeling extremely grateful and appreciative, while on the other hand, I’m also feeling challenged and stressed because I have a mountain of debt that I have to deal with head-on.

Everything in my life right this very moment is about one thing – giving the best that I can; be it to find new potential freelance gigs so that I can meet my financial goal of clearing S$5,000 from my debt every month, or to (re)build my referral network from the ground-up. Whatever it is that I’m setting my mind to, I’m giving it all I’ve got. This is me going ALL IN 💯!

What are some of your thoughts 💭 about going all in on something? Do you share the same belief as I do? If not, why not? Let’s have a discussion 💬 about it. I love to understand your thoughts on this subject.

This is a good goal. Living debt free, when possible, feels great.

Thanks! Yeah, I came close to that once (it was a much smaller amount in comparison). And then I made a series of risky decisions (which ultimately paid off), but now it’s time to face it once again.

My father’s motto was “live below your means,” and following it has served me well.

Yeap, that is very good advice indeed. I took a major risk 10 years ago when I decided to go all in to follow my passion in UX and Front-end Development. What I didn’t know at that time is that it would take me 10 years to realize my goals. And ofcourse the struggles, personal sacrifices and a whole mountain of debt to deal with. So now it is time for me to deal with those debts.

Last couple of years when things got really hard, I began learning the lesson about living within my means. Being frugal. And I became much more self-aware of my finances and how I was using it.
