Just over a week ago when I first received my current freelance opportunity, I was also hoping that somehow I would be able to secure a second freelance work opportunity. But despite my prayers, I didn’t get any kind of response from the potential freelance clients that I had sent my proposal and application to. After a few days, I decided to stop because I knew that I was asking for something that I wasn’t going to get. At least not yet. When I thought about my situation and circumstances, one thing immediately comes to mind, “Stop asking for another freelance gig. I have already blessed you with one already. I know it doesn’t pay as much. But you should focus on making the best of this one first. The client has promised that if you do this well, there will be more. I’ve already given you a way didn’t I?”

Anyway, that is really just what I like to think God is trying to tell me through my current circumstances. And maybe this morning bible verse is also a reminder that I should continue to remain focus on my current freelance opportunity (however small it might seem in comparison to the kind of gigs I’m used to receiving in the past). By focusing on chasing something that isn’t there, I would be spending energy and time focusing on something else instead of focusing on what I already have in the here and now: a PageBuilder freelance project.

According to my freelance client, I already know there is another gig lined up right after this. So as soon as I can finish this current one, I can begin work on the next one. And at this point, what really matters to me is not just about quickly finishing the job, but rather to deliver a really good job. Doing a good job on this project matters to me, more than speed. Who knows, maybe the next one, and the one after that can potentially bring in even more income. I won’t know until I’ve completed my current one. So that is exactly what I’ll be focusing my fullest attention on this week.
