I wasn’t really sure I wanted to write something today. But I also think that today’s topic might resonate with many of you as well. This thing about “not worrying” is not an easy thing for anyone that struggles with anxiety disorder. It is so easy for us to turn the stuff that we are genuinely concerned about into worries that can feel all-consuming at times. In our minds, those concerns can get blown out of proportion at times. I was initially tempted to set the title of today’s blog as “Stop Sweating the Small Stuff”, but you and I both know, that most of the time, these concerns really aren’t that small. They are genuine real-life concerns.
I’m here, writing all of this because this is my way of coping with it, and also to manage it. It’s my way of reminding myself that while I do have these genuine concerns, I can’t control everything, or how everything will turn out. Instead, I’m doing my best to stay focused on the present. And for a change, instead of writing everything out in words, I like to share a series of motivational quotes that I’ve found online that I think speaks to me in my current circumstances.
