Those are the two words that came to my mind today when I was thinking about everything that I’m currently going through and facing. I’ve recently wrote a post about what it feels like to take two steps forward and one step back. For the last 8 years of my life, that seems to be the recurring theme. Every time I experience a breakthrough or success of sorts, something else would also happen alongside the breakthrough and I would feel exactly what I’m feeling right now.

The biggest difference between then and now is that I’ve learned how to quickly adapt and pivot myself whenever something unexpected happens. I don’t like it when it happens, but I’ve learned to accept that in life, sometimes things can change in an instant. While we won’t have control over when or how that might happen, the one thing we still can control is our attitude in the face of those setbacks and challenges.

I’m just glad that I’ve managed to find a way to quickly adapt and change so that things can continue progressing. The last thing I need is to feel like a deer staring at the headlights in the middle of a road.
