You ought to know it by now, bad days are simply a part of life. It is something that we can never truly avoid. Sometimes, they can creep up on you when you least expect it. I thank my stars that ever since I’ve discovered the Bullet Journal Method, I’ve been steadily having more better days than bad ones. I know there’s no getting rid of them, even if I tried. But no, that is not what I want to talk about today. What I really want to talk about is the choice that you and I have when faced with one of those potentially bad days. When something happens to us or around us and it threatens to turn our day into a bad one, we have a choice. We can either accept it and react to what has happened; or we can decide to respond accordingly, thus not allowing the incident/influence to turn a potentially good day into a potentially bad one. So whenever I find myself feeling like it could be a bad day, or when my day starts to feel like it isn’t going my way, I would take a moment to remind myself that I always have a choice. I would ask myself, “What can I do right this moment that will steer my day towards a positive one?” Then I’ll do it.
