This morning, I was reminded that part of being a Christian means being a good steward of the things that God has blessed me with. I believe that good stewardship comes in two parts. The first one being knowing how to take better care of what I have so that they would last longer (and I’m less likely to have to replace them over time). It’s a good thing that I’ve decided to invest/spend a little more on what I currently have, as opposed to simply going for the cheapest item on the shelf. By investing a little more, I feel better and more confident knowing that what I have is also less likely to break (requiring a replacement). The second part of good stewardship in my view has to do with looking for ways to maximize what I already have. This is about the potential returns that can come out of what I’ve already invested in. When I consider the potential returns, I see THREE things – part-time studies, securing freelancing gigs and doing well, publishing my technical articles over on Medium.
