Recently I decided to invest S$6 into a very simple, but nice to write on notebook. Yes, I am old school that way. Even with the convenience of today’s technology and amazing note taking apps, I still somehow prefer a pen and paper. There’s just something about being able to write on a surface that has a certain texture to it.
But more importantly, I saw it as a way to continue my daily self-reflections and reminders. I needed a way to keep all my lessons front-and-center so that I will never forget about them. Ever.
So, I thought I would officially publish a version here as well.
Here are 30 life lessons that I can share with you:
- Always be true to yourself and to others. Mean what you say, say what you mean.
- Spend less whenever possible, not more.
- Make sure that you always leave some savings every month.
- Stay focused on your work and studies. Remember what happened in 2016.
- Focus more on building up your character (integrity). Real trust is the realy currency in this world.
- Eating well (healthy) doesn’t have to be costly. It is just the choice of what we put into our bodies.
- Always show kindness, compassion and empathy towards others.
- Always appreciate & be grateful for the little things in your life.
- Treat others with the same amount of self-respect ad you would yourself.
- Focus on pursuing excellence in everything that you do. Not perfection.
- Remember, consistency & showing up everyday matters more than making huge leaps.
- I can be humble without giving up on my self-confidence.

- Remember, everybody deserves a second chance. The same way you did.
